I react easily now, cuts, scrapes, and bruises forming on my body. My mind is not at rest. I scrub my lips harder. The pink of my un-messed lipstick sinking in deeper and deeper. I am not myself. I stare at the stains and crumbs on the carpet, I am not myself.
I want to feel the wind of the streets. I want it to caress and engulf me. I want to feel, to be, safe- and alone. No one wants to be alone.
I think about my day, my week. You. And you, and them. The conflicts that surround me, the person I am. I plead and beg for the feelings to leave me. I need to step out of myself. Leave my body, leave my corpse. Alone. I am easily swayed to remain.

Bonnie Mably - Trace (2013)
“Trace is a manmade interpretation of geological phenomena / strata. It is comprised of surplus materials from plaster casts and sculptures collected over time. A trace of other peoples work existing in the piece, echoing the trace of man in the universe.”
